Elena is interested in nature-based solutions, such as groundwater infiltration and it’s applications for flood mitigation. She also hopes to gain further experience using modeling software, such as HEC-HMS and 1D/2D HEC-RAS, to model storms and flooding for the rivers in the Houston area.
